Community Hospital beds which are managed by the GPs working out of Southside Road Medical Practice. The beds are utilised for those patients who require more intensive medical input than can be provided in their own home, but who do not require to be admitted to the DGH (Raigmore Hospital in Inverness). In addition care is provided for patients who have been treated in the DGH, are ready for discharge, but who still require some form of medical support before returning to their own home.
