Sunshine Caps Co started in March 2020 during the COVID pandemic when the necessity for additional PPE was high The owner of the business, Lauren, began sewing and donating masks to healthcare workers and hospitals As the demand grew, she began sewing for family & friends, and selling online She is a dental hygienist but really enjoyed the idea of starting her own business, and loved creating products that brought joy to people during a stressful time When hygienists were allowed to return to work, they were in need of additional PPE as well, so she decided to make some scrub caps! She played with a few different sewing patterns, tweaked the sizing and measurements, and created her own styles Soon enough, friends and co-workers started asking for them as well and the business started growing!
